A gel cleanser has a thicker, more gel like consistency than a foam cleanser. It has a lighter foam and a milder cleanse. A gel cleanser is a face wash that will deeply clean your pores and remove any makeup and oil residue left after using your oil based cleanser (step one of your routine). The water based formula and lightweight texture of a gel cleanser will gently clean and moisturise your skin leaving you with a fresh feel.

There are a large selection of cleansers available on the market, finding the right one for you can be a struggle. A good one is one is one that fits your skin condition and skin type correctly. Gel cleansers are great for three specific reasons. One, they are a great way to give your skin a deep clean. The gel is great at unclogging your pores with a mild formula that doesn’t irritate your skin. Secondly, they are great for those with oily or acne prone skin. Most with an oily skin will choose to use a foam cleanser, those with acne prone skin should avoid stronger formulas and look to gel cleansers for a milder treatment. Some are slightly more acidic and will target blemish prone skin. There are lower pH formulas that will suit all skin types including sensitive and dry skin.

Rinse with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a fresh towel.
