Peeling and scrubs are your tools to help get rid of dead skin and cleans pores clogged by impurities. Exfoliation of your skin is the perfect way to bring back your glow.
Step 3, Peeling and Scrub
Peeling and scrubs are essential to the Korean skincare routine. However, it is important to remember that they are not meant to be used daily as they are quite a heavy treatment of the skin. We recommend starting with once a week to see how your skin reacts. You can up this to two times a week maximum.
Use a peeling or scrub right after your oil and water based cleansers and before you apply a toner. Peeling and scrubs help remove unseen dead skin from your face which allows your skin to breath. In addition they are a great way for cleaning your pores and getting rid of blackheads. Once you have used your peeling or scrub for the first time, you will feel a smooth fresh sensation of the skin that only these products can provide.
Peeling or Scrub?
A peeling is an exfoliator with a watery or gel-like consistency, a scrub on the other hand offers a physical exfoliation with a gritty texture. Both are excellent at removing dead skin cells and excess oil from the skin.
Scrubs are mechanical exfoliators. This means that they work by means of friction. They use small particles that contain micro grains of sugar, salt and other ingredients to polish the surface of your skin. Avoid scrubs if you have sensitive skin. The course texture can be too rough of a treatment for you.
Peeling is a chemical exfoliator. That means that the skin is being exfoliated chemically by acids and enzymes that dissolve dead skin cells. We recommend to use a peeling instead of a scrub if you have sensitive skin.
