Sunscreen will protect your skin against UV rays. UV rays will attack your skin during sunny and rainy days, causing your skin to age and damage quicker.
What's Sunscreen?
Sunscreen, also known as sunblock, is a lotion in the form of spray, gel, cream or stick that absorbs or reflects sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation and thus protects our skin against sunburn, dryness and irritations. All of these damages to the skin will make fine lines and wrinkles appear. Sunscreen is a strong barrier against these damaging factors. Sunscreen is a must and this should be taught from the youngest age. Not only sunscreen should be worn everyday no matter what the weather is, but it also should be re-applied throughout the day.
Which sunscreen should I use?
Wearing any sunscreen is better than none at all. Nowadays, you can find a wide range of sunscreen, so you want to go for the one that best suits your skin. All sunscreens have SPF (sun protection factor) going from 20 to 50. We always recommend going for 50 to ensure the best protection and avoid irreversible skin damage caused by UV rays. Depending on your skin type, you want to choose either a water based sunscreen or sunscreen with creamy texture. Water based are well suited for oily, combination and sensitive skins, while creamy sunscreen are more adapted to normal, dry and aging skin.
How should I use sunscreen?
Sunscreen is the last step of your Korean Skincare routine. Apply it after your moisturiser and before applying make up. Use a small amount and massage it in until full absorption of the product. It is very important to reapply your sunscreen several times during the day. If you are in the office all day apply it in the morning before leaving your home and reapply it before leaving the office.
