It is a face wash that will remove light makeup, clean your pores and get rid of excess oil and sebum. It can either be a foaming or non-foaming texture. The main ingredient found in these products is, as their name indicates, is water. The water helps remove all water based impurities from the skin.
Which water based cleanser should I use?
There are plenty of water based cleansers on the market, you can find different forms such as gel cleansers, foam cleansers and more. Different textures are also available such as lightweight gels, cream-to-foam and liquid-to-foam. All of these water based cleansers have been formulated for different skin types and skin conditions. Low pH are favorable to normal, dry and sensitive skin while slightly more acidic cleansers are good for blemish, acne-prone and oily skin.
How should I use it?
A water based cleanser is to be used as the second step of your routine and will complete the double cleansing program after using your oil based cleanser. It will leave your skin fresh and clean, ready to apply your peeling or scrub (third step of your daily routine).
Apply a small amount on your finger tips and rub gently on a wet face. You can also apply this with a cotton pad. How you do it is personal preference. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry with a fresh towel.
